PM 2004 & CPS 2006: Patient alert notes pop up everywhere except when scheduling an appointment. Scheduling is one place we really need the benefit of alert notes. Is this a settings issue?
For each user or group, Alert Notes are set to be on or off for all Centricity Physician Office - Practice Management 2004 (PM 2004) and Centricity Physician Office 2006 (CPS 2006) components.
In this case, some users don't have security settings that allow them to see the Alert Notes. As of Practice Management 2004 Release 7.1.0, you can select which users and groups see Alert Notes.
To modify Alert Note settings:
- In Administration, expand the Administration Settings folder.
- Select Security.
- Expand the Main Menu folder.
- Expand the Administration folder.
- Select Show Patient Alert Notes and click Add.
- Click Yes when you see the message "Add users/groups to security." The Add Security for Patient Alert Notes window opens.
- Select the groups and users that need to view the Patient Alert Notes.
- Click OK.
- Verify the Allow radio button is selected (enabled) for the groups and users you selected.
- To close Administration, click File > Close from the menu.
- Click Yes when you see the message "Do you want to save changes of Security View?"
- For the changes to take effect, close PM 2004 or CPS 2006 and re-open it.
